Dvs 23:45 norsk tid.

DAY 22 – WEDNESDAY: THE GIFT
This day was a gift to all those worrying at home. As we read this, they are at sleep as we are waiting for the presents. They delivered the first one: 41,2 kilometres!
They were totally taken aback when the reading said 41,2 km. It was a huge boost and a pre Christmas gift.
They had the feeling through the day it would be good, because the conditions were the best they had ever been. Very little sastugi, good snow and even a good glide under the skis! That is very contradictory to what everybody else reports. Even Amundsen called the snow on the Polar Plateau ‘fish glue’. It is like sand, and not ideal for pulling sledges.
But our friends liked it. Either they are in a strange sector, or they are just still very strong.
Probably the last. Because the day was not for wimps. A -27 C was chilled considerably by a very fresh breeze and totally overcast. They noted that the breaks was painful, so the best they could do was to walk.
That they did. But they are sticking to their routines, 10 stints of 60 minutes. In camp they were swamped by all the greetings we bombed them with. They have been relatively protected from outside ‘noise’ (sorry, red), but now it is close, it is Christmas and it is time to fire them up.
They were overwhelmed and sends their deepest thanks to all and everybody.

COMPETITION:
The competition runs out today. And with the last 40+ run we are sure lost of you have taken out their calculators. Send in a new entry if you like, but it ends tonight.
They have some 115km left. So when will they be there? They estimate sometime Friday the 26th. Normally they camp 19:45 in the Chillan sector time, which is 23:45 Norwegian time.
Send you guess to info@hvitserk-eventyrreiser.no with name, address, day and time (specify) and the winner will get a Brynje Polar Bug, the most comfortable and practical fleece out there, while 5 closest will receive our coffe table winner, the book: Your up next (Nå er det din tur – in Norwegian.) But entries must be in before the morning of Christmas Eve!!!
