Thursday 21st November, Union Glacier: This morning the clouds were back and hampered the flight plans. So much so that some of the plains did not return from a trip to the Emperor Penguins colony. Even though the weather brightened a bit it did not help Roland. We hoped for the best, but it became gradually clearer that we had to focus on a Friday drop-off flight.
But Roland is spending the days well, training, eating and getting a lot of rest to build up his immune systems energy levels. He has a small cough from the sudden dry cold and the rest and calm should give him time to mend that.
Wait for tomorrow!

I just returned to Chile from Union Glacier in Antarctica. I had the pleasure to meet Roland, what an amazing adventure! I have video of him leaving Union Glacier...
